Did you know that Google will give your pet sitting, dog walking, pet grooming or pet store a free business listing?

That’s right.  100% free.

All you have to do is set up a free Google account by going to the Google home page or clicking HERE to set one up.

Once you set up your free account you’ll have a wealth of free services you can take advantage of that can help you grow your business but for the purposes of this article we’ll stay focused on the business listing.

So once you have your account, click here on the home page:

Behind the “Business Solutions” link you’ll be looking for “Google Maps Business Listings”:

Once inside, you’ll have an opportunity to add your business’s address, phone number and even coupons or special offers. 

But take note:  to verify the listing, Google will actually call you within 60 secounds of submitting your listing and you’ll have to speak a PIN number that they give you into the phone to activate your listing.  Cool, right?  So make sure that when you do this, you’re by a phone and, obviously, your computer. 

In less than 5-minutes you’ll be included in Google’s free geo-targeted business listings.  And you don’t even need a website (although you do need a physical place of business to take advantage of this service) but it helps since you can enter your URL, too.
