7 Reasons Why You Should Never Own German Shepherds

German Shepherd Dogs (GSDs) are probably one of the most beautiful breed of dog. However, they do have some unique
character traits that can send any owner crazy. Here are eight reasons why the GSD are the worst breeds ever.

    1- They Eat Too Much
You better be prepared to fill up your cupboards when you’ve got a German Shepherd around, they will eat you out of house and home. I mean, all dogs like to eat, but the GSD has an unusually large appetite. Because they are energetic by nature, they need a power packed diet. If you want a healthy GSD, make sure you are fulfilling its dietary requirements, or you will have a problem on your hands.

2- They Won’t Settle For Less
German Shepherds are a very unique breed, for this reason they are referred to as “The Cadillac of dogs.” This is definitely true if you are prepared to invest the energy, time and education it takes to raise one with care. If not, they will become sickly, ill-tempered and bored, to let you know that you are not doing a very good job.

    3- You Can’t Out-Smart Them
German Shepherds are known for their intelligence, so there’s no pulling the wool over their eyes. If you think you’re going to play hide and seek with their toys, or play any other type of prank on them forget about it! They will have you sussed out in seconds.

4- They Are Just Too Big
A German Shepherd can weigh up to 90 pounds, and average around 25 inches tall at the shoulder. If you are looking to get totally squashed when playing with your GSD, then go ahead and adopt one! Not only do they grow up to be tall and heavy, they are muscular and agile as well. Oh, and not to mention they live up to 13 years, so you are basically stuck with them for life. I’m sure you will agree, these are categorically not the qualities you need in a guard dog!

5- They Are Way Too Adaptable
German Shepherds are like chameleons, they can blend in to any environment. Don’t worry if you’ve got to move home, or even relocate to another country, your German Shepherd will follow along and get on just fine.

    6- They Are Not Lazy
German Shepherds jump at the chance to get to work. They don’t know what it means to laze around the house all day doing nothing. There is never a dull moment when you’ve got a GSD around. If you want to reach your fitness goals in 2018, get yourself a German Shepherd, a couple of laps around the track is just a warm up. They will have you in shape in no time.

    7- They Are Too Clingy

If you are the type of person who likes alone time, you might as well forget about it if you are planning on adopting a German Shepherd. If you go to the bathroom, they are there, the kitchen they are there, to bed, they are there! It’s so annoying, if you don’t like commitment, the German Shepherd is definitely not what you want, because they will fall passionately in love with you until the day they die.

    Final Thought
I love German Shepherds; this article is full of sarcasm and humor towards these adorable creatures. GSDs are the absolute best, if you want a loyal, caring and protective dog I would definitely recommend a German Shepherd.
